Daily
Glance at the water level and top up if it’s low — this alone prevents most pump noise. Skim off any obvious hair or debris.
Weekly
Empty and rinse the reservoir, wipe every surface the water touches with a soft cloth, and pay attention to corners and the pump area where debris gathers. Refill with fresh water.
Every few weeks
Change the filter, and do a more thorough clean of the pump and channels following your model’s instructions. In hard-water areas, address any mineral scale before it builds up.
Occasionally
Check the pump is running smoothly and quietly. If it’s louder than usual, a clean usually sorts it. Keep spare filters on hand so a change is never delayed.
